It's hard to believe it’s been over 30 years since the McKay family purchased the historic Municipal Café. What an amazing catalog of stories the Muni holds. If only the buildings well-worn floors could talk. The joint really was a place where both the prosecutors and the prosecuted frequented. Real American food, true handcrafted music and real people filled the joint with character and friendship and on a few occasions true love! Now, after a little prodding, begging and rioting by a few devoted Muni-ites we have decided to step up and throw a big party to try to recapture a little of the old Muni Magic.
 
Working with several of the ol’ crew we have come up with a great line-up featuring a taste of some of the talent that graced the Muni stage. We found a super venue in East Hartford where all are welcome to come and reminisce, dance, eat & drink the day away. If you're brave you may even bring your kids and show them that yes, you were actually a cool young hipster back in the day.  Ha-ha!
 
Please join us in another human experiment as we join with our family past and present and bathe in the warmth of friendship and music. I know it's not the same as a Saturday night in Hartford back in the 80s or 90s (remember no air-conditioning and lots of smoke) however, we're pleased to bring you the MUNI REUNION! You're a part of what made the Muni whatever it was…  Get ready to let loose, enjoy a Newkie Brown Ale and lots of group hugs.  Can’t wait to see you there.
